Children North East get £180,000 government windfall
We would like to congratulate our charity partner, Children North East, which has been given an £180,000 funding boost by the Government.
The money will enable them to continue helping children, young people and families in the North East of England.
The charity is working hard to fight inequality and promote the rights of children and young people in the region.
They do this by:
supporting family relationships
giving young people opportunities that raise their aspirations
encouraging community involvement
Jeremy Cripps, the charity’s Chief Executive said: “We are delighted with this vote of confidence in our work. This money will enable us to adapt to a new era for voluntary organisations.”
Our payers have raised more than £340,000 for Children North East. That’s enough to support more than 5,000 children and families. Read Julie's story to find out more.
