Charity Gala celebrates the amazing charities supported by our players

The 2013 People's Postcode Lottery Charity Gala will take place on Thursday 31st January. Held annually, the event is a chance to celebrate the work of charities supported by Postcode Lottery players.
Dame Ellen MacArthur will join those attending, providing a key note speech on her own charity, the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust. This charity has received two separate grants from People's Postcode Trust, a grant giving Trust funded entirely by Postcode Lottery players.
The Charity Gala takes place at the recently refurbished National Museum
of Scotland in Edinburgh. Amongst the highlights will be the announcement of
this year's Dream Fund winners – charities granted funding to launch the
project of their dreams.
Last year, five charities won the
funds they needed to carry out the projects of their dreams sharing a total of
more than £340,000. WWF Scotland, The Waterways Trust Scotland and Alzheimer
Scotland received funding and the Ecology Centre and John Muir Trust both
received part funding.
