Residents in Ayrshire will be looking forward to the festive season even more this week, as People's Postcode Lottery has announced that together, local players will share a whopping £2 Million prize pot.

The winning postcode sector has been revealed as KA6 6, with all players living in the sector set to win a share of the December Postcode Millions windfall. Winners will discover just how much they have won at a special event being held at the Enterkine House Hotel, Ayr on Saturday 28th December. Those playing with the full winning postcode, which will be revealed at the event, will walk away with the lion's share of the prize.

Nicole Allan, Head of Events at People's Postcode Lottery, said, "Christmas may be on the 25th December but our winners should be looking forward to the 28th. We're holding our cheque presentation in the beautiful Enterkine House which is the perfect place to hold our last Postcode Millions event of the year."

People's Postcode Lottery Ambassador Judie McCourt is also looking forward to the cheque presentation. "I am delighted to be heading to Ayrshire to see another community share £2 Million," she said. "It's not long since we were in Troon in Ayrshire for a European Postcode Millions event in August. I just love handing out big cheques, especially at this time of year."

Organisers will reveal more details regarding the celebration, including the minimum amount won, in the coming days.

It's not just our Ayrshire players that benefit from People's Postcode Lottery. To date, our players have raised over £34.3 Million for good causes, including Missing People and Maggie's Cancer Caring Centres. These charities have received over £2.3 Million and £3.1 Million respectively to support the fantastic work they do throughout Britain.
