Minimum £1,000 win for lucky players in County Durham

Lucky players in County Durham have won a minimum of £1,000 per ticket in October's Postcode Millions draw Lucky players in County Durham have won a minimum of £1,000 per ticket in October's Postcode Millions draw

Following last week's announcement that a County Durham postcode sector has won £2 Million in the October Postcode Millions draw, players will be excited to hear that the minimum prize is £1,000 per ticket.

On Saturday 2nd November, Shotton Hall in Peterlee, County Durham will host a special winners' celebration for the Postcode Millions. All players within lucky postcode sector SR8 3 will learn exactly how much of the £2 Million prize they have won. Those living in the full winning postcode, to be revealed on the day, will walk away with the lion's share of the £2 Million prize.

People's Postcode Lottery Ambassador and rugby legend, Scott Quinnell, will be one of the presenters at the event and is excited to see the winners' reactions. "I love Postcode Millions events as there is such a great community feel to them. I can't wait to hand out some cheques to the people of County Durham – it's the best part of my job."

Winners, who have already been notified, are invited to attend the cheque presentation from 12.30pm on Saturday to celebrate.

To date, players of People's Postcode Lottery have raised over £32.2 Million for charities and good causes across Britain, including Missing People and Maggie's Cancer Caring Centres. In May this year, Maggie's opened a new centre in Newcastle at Freeman Hospital. This is just a short walk from the Northern Centre for Cancer Care and was built as part of the 'Joy of Living' campaign.

Maggie's Chief Executive Laura Lee said, "People's Postcode Lottery Postcode Millions events are always incredibly exciting and I am delighted the next one is happening in County Durham – an area supported by one of our newest Centres, Maggie's Newcastle, which opened in May."

Maggie's have received over £2.6 Million in support from our players and will be in attendance at the event.
