Journalist and television presenter John Stapleton thanks players for support

John Stapleton thanks our players for their continued support of Missing People John Stapleton thanks our players for their continued support of Missing People

Missing People offer a lifeline to the 250,000 people who go missing or run away in the UK each year. Providing a wide range of specialised services, the charity's highly trained and compassionate staff reach out to vulnerable people of all ages, offering them support when they need it most. They are also on hand to ease the heartache of those left behind and organise nationwide searches for their loved ones.

John Stapleton, an award-winning journalist and television presenter, is one of Missing People's many celebrity patrons. Along with the likes of Stephen Fry and Sir Richard Branson, he helps to promote the fantastic work of this charity and further raise its profile, both nationally and internationally. Missing People's representatives and volunteers encourage those who go missing to take advantage of their resources, which include a 24-hour, confidential helpline, and reconnect with their family and friends. They also endorse awareness-raising events, like the recent Cycle Challenge and the Miles For Missing People run.

Speaking from Missing People's call centre, John was keen to emphasise the important role that players of People's Postcode Lottery have in helping the search for missing people in this country. "'I'm a big, big supporter of Missing People and passionate about the work they do when people go missing", said John. "I'd like to say a big, big thank you to players of People's Postcode Lottery for your support.

"Your support has meant that Missing People have received more than £2 Million and that enables them to keep this place open on 116 000, 24 hours a day, to help the parents left behind and vulnerable young people and adults looking for a place of safety with which to reconnect.”

Players of People's Postcode Lottery have raised more than £2.2 Million for Missing People. Thank you! This funding helps Missing People’s volunteers to continue their exceptional work in relocating missing people and reuniting families across the country.
