Are you ready to lace up your boots for Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centres?
Kaye Adams helping to launch Maggie's Glasgow Night Hike
Our charity partner is looking for volunteers to take a 10 mile hike through Scotland’s biggest city to help raise funds for people affected by cancer.
TV presenter Kaye Adams helped launch Maggie’s Glasgow Night Hike at the new Riverside Transport Museum. The event takes place on Friday 22 July.
There will be live entertainment and participants will get exclusive access to iconic buildings and attractions across the city. The closing venue for the hike will be Maggie’s Glasgow Centre at the Western Infirmary, where participants will be treated to tea and cakes.
Maggie’s Event Manager, Claire Benjamin said: “We are really excited to launch our second ever Glasgow Night Hike. Glasgow is such a fabulous city, brimming with great architecture and culture, and our new night hike route very much reflects that, with fabulous buildings and entertainment on board.
“It’s a great fun alternative night out, and I would encourage groups of friends and family to sign up now. Your support helps us to continue to offer free emotional and practical support to people facing the devastating consequences of cancer.”
Registration is £30 for volunteers and £23 each for teams of four or more. Visit www.maggiescentres.org/glasgownighthike to find out more.
