People's Postcode Trust launches new charity website
People's Postcode Trust is the grant-giving charity funded by
the players of People's Postcode Lottery. The Trust has just launched its new website, as part
of its drive to continually simplify the funding process.
The Postcode Trust has so far given over £3.2 Million to 628
projects across Great Britain. It offers funding from £500 up to £100,000. The organisation supports community group
projects, often with limited resource and capability, as well as registered
charities.
Clara Govier, Head of Charities for People's Postcode
Lottery said, “We understand the funding landscape can often present itself as a
complicated minefield, with excessive jargon and cumbersome application
forms. We, however, are always on the
lookout to remove these barriers, cutting down the paperwork and generally
simplifying the process as much as possible.
“As well as offering a simple two step application process, our
new website offers enhanced search functionality. Now applicants can scour our project database
to help them understand the types of projects we routinely support - thereby increasing
their likelihood of a successful application. We’re also hopeful that these improvements will help to open up new
funding opportunities to groups who have never applied to us before.”
The brand new website was
designed and created by Storm ID, a digital agency based in Edinburgh. Speaking
about their collaboration with the People's Postcode Trust website, Storm ID
Managing Director, Paul McGinness said:
“Storm are delighted to continue our work with the Postcode Lottery with the design and build of the Postcode Lottery Trust web site. The ability to search and find the full range of projects funded by the Postcode Lottery Trust on the site clearly demonstrates the impact the charity has across the Great Britain.”
The standard application process to Postcode Trust for projects under £10,000 is currently open. The deadline for applications is 5pm on Friday 24 February. For more information visit www.postcodetrust.org.uk.
