Perfect Ten For Maggie's And People's Postcode Lottery

2010 has been quite a year for People's Postcode Lottery and all of our charity partners. This year has seen us reach an amazing milestone of £10 million raised for charity.

The generosity of our players has also allowed Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centres to have a fantastic year, with ten fully operational Centres open throughout Great Britain.

2011 is set to be another great year for Maggie’s, with a record three new Centres opening in Scotland, England and Wales.

With the financial input from the People’s Postcode Lottery, Maggie’s has been able to open more Centres and reach more people affected by cancer than ever before. The charity has also used the funds to trial new programmes of support. To date, People’s Postcode Lottery players have raised an incredible £1.57 million for Maggie’s.

Maggie’s CEO Laura Lee said: “Congratulations to the players of the People’s Postcode Lottery for raising such an astounding sum of money for charities. Your generous support is directly helping Maggie’s Centres to offer people the space, time, skills and support needed to understand and manage an experience of cancer.”

Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centres has been a People’s Postcode Lottery charity partner since 2008.
