Rhyl players scoop £320,000 in the European Postcode Millions draw

Lucky players in Rhyl will share an amazing £320,000 windfall thanks to the European Postcode Millions Lucky players in Rhyl will share an amazing £320,000 windfall thanks to the European Postcode Millions

Lucky players in Rhyl will be feeling particularly happy today after People's Postcode Lottery announced that locals have scooped a total of £320,000 in the European Postcode Millions draw.

The winning postcode sector has been revealed as LL18 3. All People's Postcode Lottery players living in the area are set to win a cash prize. Those living in the full winning postcode – to be revealed on Saturday 5th October – will scoop the lion's share of the prize money.

Rugby legend and People's Postcode Lottery Ambassador Scott Quinnell will be presenting the winners with their cheques on the day. Scott said, "It's fantastic news that the European Postcode Millions has landed in LL18 3. It was only six months ago that I was in South Wales in Port Talbot for the April Postcode Millions. Wales is definitely proving to be very lucky. I can't wait to head to Rhyl and meet some of our wonderful players and more importantly, hand out more amazing cheques!"

It's not only winners like these who benefit from People's Postcode Lottery. To date, players of People's Postcode Lottery have raised over £31.3 Million for charities across Britain, including Missing People and Maggie's Cancer Caring Centres. These charities have received over £2.2 Million and £2.6 Million respectively from our players, helping the fantastic work they do every day to continue.

People's Postcode Trust, a grant-giving charity funded entirely by our players, has awarded over £7 Million to charities and organisations all across Britain. Ty Gobaith, a project that provides specialist nursing care to terminally ill children in North Wales, won £15,000 thanks to the Vote that Counts campaign. Two other Welsh charities to receive funding from People's Postcode Trust include Home-Start Flintshire, who received £4,154 to train volunteers, and Flintshire Care & Repair, who were awarded £1,467 to purchase new radiators for the elderly.
