People’s Postcode Lottery caught up with Summer Postcode Millions winners, Margaret Nelson, Kathleen Todd and Bob Marshall recently, to find out how they've been spending their £333,333 cheques. The trio won the lion's share of the Summer Postcode Millions prize pot worth £2 Million only a few months ago.

Over afternoon tea at the Old Course Hotel in St Andrews, the players from Blalowan Gardens in Cupar admitted that after helping out their families, they were now living the high life. Each one had toured local car showrooms and treated themselves to high-spec, brand new cars after their win.

Talking about the win, Bob said that it had seemed so surreal at the time. “I was so happy I went straight through to Edinburgh to see my son. I wanted to surprise him, but my other son had texted him on the way,” remembered Bob.It was the best evening ever.

Kathleen, who was accompanied at the tea by her daughter-in-law, is particularly grateful for her unexpected windfall. No longer able to cope with the hill near her house, Kathleen will be moving over the next month into new sheltered housing accommodation. She has already put her welcome winnings to good use, with plans for a brand new kitchen and bathroom. There will also be a few treats to make her new home as comfortable for herself as possible.

Margaret, who was also joined by her daughter, shared the others' disbelief at their good fortune. “I wasn't sure what to think when we got the first phone call,” said Margaret. “They told us that we would win at least £500 – I was pretty happy with that at the time! I couldn't believe it when the £333,333 cheque was revealed and I can tell you it just didn't sink in until a good few days later.

Not only are they enjoying a little of the high-life, the three have also become celebrities in their own town, with people recognising them as they pop into the bank and local supermarkets.
