Local youth project Factory Skatepark has welcomed the news that they are set to receive their fifth award from People's Postcode Lottery.

Factory Skatepark will now be able to run a series of summer youth clubs for young people. The holiday clubs will include coaching programmes in the mornings and a variety of youth activities in the afternoons.

The Dundee-based project has previously received four awards from People's Postcode Lottery, making it one of the most frequently funded groups across the whole country. Other awards include grants for an extreme sports programme, the purchase of the revolving climbing wall and two grants for youth support services - taking the total received to over £33,500.

Derek Marshall, Chief Executive Factory Skatepark said “Once again we are so thankful to the players of People's Postcode Lottery. The continued support they have offered us enables us to deliver so much more than ever before. We know that these groups provide tremendous long-lasting benefits for all the young people who attend, not only do we see obvious increases in their health and fitness but overwhelmingly we see increases in both their confidence and self esteem”.

Clara Govier, Charities Manager People's Postcode Lottery said “We’re thrilled that we've been able to continue our growing support of Factory Skatepark. We know the organisation is making a huge difference to hundreds of young people in the area, whether they attend homework clubs, youth clubs or any of the other fantastic services they offer. We'd love to work with similar local groups and would encourage them to visit our website to check their eligibility and apply for much-needed funding.”

40p from every People's Postcode Lottery ticket goes direct to good causes operating across the country.  Players have raised over £19.1 Million to date. The charity lottery funds community groups and registered charities through its grant-giving organisation People’s Postcode Trust.  Applications for funding up to £10,000 open on Monday 9 July and close on 24 August.  Visit for full details.
