Thank You Letter From Maggie's

On 12 October, Laura Lee, Maggie's CEO, wrote to thank all our players:

Dear People's Postcode Lottery

Please accept our warmest thanks to all at People's Postcode Lottery and all of your players for your wonderful donation of £165,019.60 which will go towards supporting our vital work in Scotland. This takes our total support received up to a fantastic £1,419,932.40.

Your continued commitment to helping support our centres and the work we do is sincerely appreciated by Maggie's and the people who we help every day, people like Isla McCurroch:

"It's such a relief when you go into Maggie's. Yes, everyone knows you've got cancer, but my goodness you can still smile. It's so nice to walk in and have that smile. In Maggie's it is like being equal. Cancer levels you.''

We could not do what we do in Scotland for people with cancer without your support so, on behalf of our centre users and everyone here at Maggie's, thank you, and good luck to everyone playing the People's Postcode Lottery for the rest of 2010.
