Just by playing People’s Postcode Lottery, you are making a real difference to great charities, like Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centres.

Our friends at Maggie’s Scotland recently received a cheque for over £77,700. Together, we’ve raised more than £1,816,000 for Maggie’s to date – and it’s all thanks to people like you.

Laura Lee, Chief Executive of Maggie’s asked us to pass on this message: “Please accept our warmest thanks for your wonderful donation which will go towards supporting our vital work.

“This is an exciting year for Maggie’s in Scotland. Our newest centre, Maggie’s Glasgow (Gartnavel) is being built as we speak and is due to open in Autumn 2011. This centre will serve the West of Scotland Cancer Network, which has a population of 2.5 million people and approximately 4,350 new diagnoses of cancer per annum.

“When complete, our network of centres will provide support to every single person in Scotland affected by cancer. We simply couldn’t do what we do for people with cancer without your support so, on behalf of our centre users and everyone here at Maggie’s, thank you, and good luck to everyone playing the People’s Postcode Lottery in 2011.”
