Edible Playgrounds

Trees for Cities, in conjunction with School Food Matters and Chefs Adopt a School, will create Edible Playgrounds in urban schools across the country, giving children the opportunity to grow, harvest, cook and eat healthy food in a positive, safe environment.

Edible Playgrounds transform outdoor spaces to create productive food-growing and sensory outdoor learning resources. Initially starting in schools throughout London, the project will then be rolled out to areas in Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds and Reading.
