Management of 216 nature reserves managed by the six Wildlife Trusts across Wales.

The Wildlife Trusts Wales (WTW) work together to create an environment rich in wildlife for everyone to enjoy. Between them, they have 23,000 members and manage more than 6,000 hectares of prime wildlife habitat, from rugged coastline to urban wildlife havens.

The six Trusts in Wales are

  • Brecknock,

  • Gwent,

  • Montgomeryshire,

  • North Wales,

  • Radnorshire and

  • South and West Wales.

Last year they managed 216 nature reserves, campaigned for wildlife, responded to 24,000 planning applications and advised over 3,400 land owners over 33,000 hectares. The Wildlife Trusts in Wales visit a quarter of all junior schools and through over 8,000 events had contact with 10% of the population in Wales.
