Our players will support more local charities and good causes than ever before in 2021.
Over 3,500 grassroots organisations will receive a share of an almost £17 Million funding pot in 2021.
The increase is the result of a change to the charity lottery annual sales limit from £10 Million to £50 Million. The change, which came into force last July, means less administration, with more player funding going to good causes. Last year, £10.6 Million was awarded to 2,270 organisations.
Laura Chow, Head of Charities at People's Postcode Lottery, said, "Last year highlighted how much community matters and the important work being done by local charities and good causes all over Britain.
"I'm delighted so many more of these organisations and the communities they work in will benefit from the support of People's Postcode Lottery players in 2021."
Applications for funding will be accepted every month from February until October 2021. Applications for the first round of funding open on 1st February.
Applying For Funding
Organisations can apply for funding between £500 and £20,000 from one of six trusts. Each trust covers a different geographical area:
- People's Postcode Trust will fund good causes in Scotland
- Postcode Community Trust will fund good causes in Wales
- Postcode Local Trust will fund good causes in the west of England
- Postcode Neighbourhood Trust will fund good causes in the north of England
- Postcode Places Trust will fund good causes in the east of England
- Postcode Society Trust will fund good causes in the south of England
Funding will be awarded based on where the activities will take place.
As a commitment to supporting smaller good causes, applications will only be accepted from organisations with an annual income of less than £1 Million. Preference will be given to those with an income less than £500,000.
Good causes can find out which trust to apply to.
More information, including a funding guide and eligibility quiz, can be found on the trusts' websites.
Players of People's Postcode Lottery have raised over £600 Million for thousands of charities and good causes, across Britain and internationally, since 2005.
