This year, People's Postcode Lottery achieved an incredible milestone as players have now raised £32.2 Million for charities and good causes across Britain.

As the charitable funding is raised solely through the contribution of our players, we offered all of our current players the opportunity to vote for their favourite supported charity. The voting was pretty close but Maggie's Cancer Caring Centres proved to be our players' favourite, resulting in the charity receiving an extra £2,000 in funding.

Television presenter and Maggie's Ambassador Aggie MacKenzie accepted the £2,000 cheque on behalf of Maggie's. "Thank you so much to everyone who voted for Maggie's to receive an extra £2,000 bonus!", she said. "It costs £37 every time someone walks through the door of their local Maggie's Centre, so thanks to you another 55 people are able access the vital support they need to live with, through, and beyond cancer."

Hazel Johnstone, Trusts Manager for People's Postcode Lottery, said; "We were delighted to meet Aggie MacKenzie and celebrate our player's generosity to Maggie's Cancer Caring Centres. It costs £2,400 to run each Maggie's Centre each day, so this money is making an incredible difference to the lives of people affected by cancer."

Players of People's Postcode Lottery have so far raised £2,613,749 for Maggie's Cancer Caring Centres across Scotland, England and Wales since 2007. By playing People's Postcode Lottery, our players support a number of good causes and charities through thePeople's Postcode Trust, Postcode Care Trust, Postcode Culture Trust, Postcode Green Trust, Postcode Animal Trust, Postcode Global Trust and Postcode Heroes Trust. These Trusts provide grants to a range of amazing charities and deserving community projects.
