People's Postcode Trust's Small Grants Funding open for applications in Southern England

People's Postcode Lottery is urging charities and community groups across Southern England to apply for funding, through People's Postcode Trust's Small Grants programme.
The current funding round is open to charities and organisations in Southern England, excluding London, until 1st May. People's Postcode Trust's Small Grants Programme, which is funded entirely by players of People's Postcode Lottery,supports projects that aim tomake a difference to local communities. Registered charities, voluntary organisations, community interest companies and social enterprises are all able toapply for grants of between £500 and £20,000.
Applications for £2,000 to £20,000 are open to registered charities and applications for up to £2,000 are open to organisations that are not registered charities.

Applications, along with supporting documents, must be submitted by Friday 1st May. There are a number of funding criteria that all projects must meet. Projects must fit into one of the following categories to be eligible
Two organisations in Southern England that recently received funding from players of People's Postcode Lottery, through People's Postcode Trust's Small Grants programme, are Wintercomfort for the Homeless and Children and Families Ltd. Wintercomfort for the Homeless received £7,648 from players for their Welfare Service for the Homeless project. Wintercomfort for the Homeless provides an essential and safe service to homeless and vulnerably housed people all year long.
Children and Families Ltd also received funding from players of People's Postcode Lottery for their FareShare Kent project. Children and Families Ltd received £20,000 from players and provides universal services that are accessible for every family and target services to those in need of additional support. FareShare supports communities to relieve food poverty by focussing on ensuring that children can be healthy and safe, as well as enjoying and achieving economic wellbeing.
