Whizz-Kidz changes the lives of disabled children and young people by providing them with vital mobility equipment and youth services. Whizz-Kidz believes that with the right combination of equipment, skills, and confidence every young disabled person can achieve their dreams.

The right kind of wheelchair is more than a set of wheels - it can be the key to unlocking a child's potential. Whizz-Kidz therapists understand that no two young people are the same, and work closely with each individual to make sure they get a wheelchair that truly meets their needs. But that's just the start of the journey.

Whizz-Kidz also provide a range of services, giving disabled young people the chance to lead a fun and active childhood, while gaining new skills and developing their independence. They run youth clubs and camps where disabled young people can make friends, take part in activities, and learn essential life skills. They also provide Wheelchair Skills Training, giving children the ability overcome the everyday obstacles they will encounter as they navigate the world around them. The Whizz-Kidz Work Placements programme gives young disabled people valuable experience in real work environments, helping to set them on their career path.

Players of People's Postcode Lottery have made a huge contribution to this vital work. To date players have raised a total of £550,000 for Whizz-Kidz.

This is enough to provide over 150 children with manual wheelchairs, or to enable over 600 young disabled people attend a work placement. These opportunities have a huge impact on the children and young people, genuinely transforming their lives.

One of the young people who has benefited from the Whizz-Kidz experience, Ayesha, said, "The wheelchair I received from Whizz-Kidz has really made a difference. It's really light, which makes it nice and easy to manoeuvre and travel around with. My old chair made my feel 'stuck in the mud' but my Whizz-Kidz chair has enabled me to get stuck in. I never imagined I could play wheelchair tennis and basketball, but thanks to Whizz-Kidz I can.

"The Whizz-Kidz Ambassador Clubs have made me feel a lot happier. If I'm worried about something, I can talk to my friends, staff, and volunteers. It is great to feel so well supported, especially when I used to feel alone. Every time I go to the club, I come away happy and smiling."

Thanks to players, there are hundreds of young disabled people like Ayesha who are being provided with the best opportunities in life.
