For the second year running, Novamedia/Postcode Lotteries has been announced as the world's third largest private charity donor, according to newspaper City AM.

Having awarded £413 Million to charitable causes across the world in 2012, Novamedia/Postcode Lotteries came third in the listings. First and second position went to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and The Wellcome Trust, who raised £2.7 billion and £642 million respectively.

Novamedia/Postcode Lotteries operates five separate charity lotteries across Holland, Sweden and Great Britain. In total, the lotteries have resulted in a total of £4 billion being awarded to good causes around the globe.

Here in Great Britain, players of People's Postcode Lottery have raised more than £21.9 Million for good causes. This year alone, over £6 Million has been awarded to charities across the country, supporting thousands of charity service users.

20% of the cost of a People's Postcode Lottery ticket is awarded to charities and good causes. This money supports organisations such as Maggie's Cancer Caring Centres, Missing People and CHILDREN 1ST.
