Contact the Elderly

Contact the Elderly is a national charity dedicated to combatting loneliness and social isolation among older people

Contact the Elderly organises free, monthly Sunday afternoon tea parties for people aged 75 or over who live alone. Through the simple concept of tea, cake and conversation, Contact the Elderly has been helping older people feel less alone for over 50 years.

The tea parties are a brilliant way for older people to enjoy a social occasion, make friends in their community and have something to look forward to every month.

Contact the Elderly tea parties have been described as a lifeline, and the charity is committed to reaching out to more older people as demand for the service grows.
