The Ramblers is the only charity dedicated to looking after paths and green spaces, leading walks (100,000 last year), opening up new places to explore and encouraging everyone to get outside and discover how walking boosts your health and your happiness.

The Ramblers is the leading voice on walking matters, nationally and near you. They protect, maintain and keep an expert eye on every single path in Britain. The charity supports all walkers to start and keep walking through a vast range of led group walks and self-guided routes, as well as through Walking for Health, which is run in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support.

Although walking is very straightforward, the benefits are endless. It's good for your health, it lifts your mood, it's a sociable activity you can do with family or friends, and it's a great way to meet new people. It also counts towards the recommended 150 minutes of physical activity people should be doing each week.

This year, with support from players, the Ramblers are thrilled to be building on the success of Walk About, which will become an annual event from 2018, and make Festival of Winter Walks even bigger and better this December.

Together with your support the Ramblers will be creating happier healthier communities.
