Droylsden Duo Win Big

12 April 2020 - M43 6HX - Droylsden - £50,000
Danyl reveals that M43 6HX in Droylsden has struck it lucky in today's Sunday Street Prize!

It was a delightful Sunday in Droylsden when two players each picked up fabulous £50,000 wins with People's Postcode Lottery.

The happy neighbours struck gold when their postcode, M43 6HX, was announced as the winner of Sunday's Street Prize

Cocktails And Holidays

Construction worker Dean was one of our big winners. His cheque was revealed by People's Postcode Lottery Presenter Danyl Johnson in a video call.

When he saw how much he'd won Dean said, "Get in! Thank you! I don't know what to say. Oh brilliant, I'm amazed!"

Dean has two daughters and a young grandchild who he plans to treat with his winnings. Dean said, "I'm sure they will help me spend it! My sister and cousin are over the moon for me too. As soon as we're allowed, I'll take everyone out to celebrate. We'll have a few cocktails at TGIs.

"We'll go on holiday when we can. All-inclusive to Mexico. I've always wanted to go. The last time I went away was 2006 so I've not been away for 14 years!"

Dean added, "This will really help a lot. You don't even know. The timing is brilliant. I can't get over it. I'm really ecstatic. I want to go and shout in the street!"

Believe It Can Happen

Our second Street Prize winner was Terry, a bus driver and father of three. Terry was at home with his wife Jackie and daughter Samantha when he received the video call from Danyl. Terry also had his two sons on the phone, who were eager to find out how much he had won.

When his £50,000 cheque was revealed, Terry said, "No way! Really?! Fantastic, I can't believe that. Wonderful!"

Terry is also planning a family holiday with his prize money. He said, "I will take the whole family on holiday. We were thinking of Turkey. I'm not really a plane person but I'll manage!

"My family have spent it all already. The two boys are buying new cars and have bought them in their head.

"It's come at a great time. It's an old cliché but you just don't believe these things will happen to you. I'm over the moon. With everything that's happening right now, it's just perfect timing."

People's Postcode Lottery Presenter Danyl Johnson said, "Whilst I was unable to meet Terry and Dean in person, it was great to video chat with them and see their reactions to winning £50,000! I'm sending a big congratulations to both them and their families."

In April's draws, we're supercharging our Street Prizes. Instead of a thrilling £30,000 prize, lucky winners collect a fantastic £50,000 for each ticket they play with. Watch out for more big winners in coming weekends!
