Great Win In Glasgow

19 April 2020 - G31 2RD - Glasgow - £50,000
Our latest Street Prize winner scoops a whopping £100,000 prize thanks to playing with two tickets!

Fortune has smiled on a postcode in Glasgow today. Our sole winner, who plays with two tickets, scooped an incredible £100,000 cheque after their postcode, G31 2RD, was drawn in Sunday's Street Prize.

Shaking Like Anything

Mary, a retired administrator, had her cheque revealed by our Street Prize Presenter, Judie McCourt, over video call. Mary said, "You are kidding me? Oh my god! Really? I'm absolutely shocked! I've never won anything in my life! I'm shaking like anything. I keep on thinking it's dream! I don't know what to do with myself. I'm just walking about the flat. If I wasn't sitting down, I would probably fall down!"

Mary has some big family birthdays coming up and plans to treat everyone to a party to celebrate when she can. She said, "You've no idea what it means. My daughter, Laura, just turned 30 this month, so when this lockdown is all done with I can give her a super-duper party. When I told her I'd won she didn't believe me at first!

"My husband, Denis, turns 80 next month and my son-in-law's grandmother, Helen, turns 90 too. So there are a lot of big birthdays coming up! We will decide where to go with all of us and have a big celebration."

Mary also plans to put some money aside for her grandson and take a trip abroad when she can. She said, "My grandson already has a bank account set up for when he turns 18 so I'll put a lump sum in there for him. He's a very clever young boy so I'm sure he will go far."

Hawaii Bound

Mary admitted,"I've also always wanted to go to Hawaii. I love the programme Hawaii Five-0 so I'd love to go and see it in real life."

When asked what the first thing she will buy with her winnings would be, Mary said, "A bottle of champagne! I'll have a glass of wine with my meal tonight to celebrate, maybe even a couple!"

Judie McCourt said, "I'm thrilled for Mary! Whilst I was unable to visit her in person, it was fab to see her reaction over video. It sounds like she has some great plans to spend her winnings on when she can."
