Revealed in a Facebook Live video today, People's Postcode Lottery is set to make a return visit to Coventry this month to share out £3 Million in prize winnings. The UK City of Culture 2021 is also home to March's Postcode Millions winning postcode sector CV3 5.
This is the second time that a Coventry postcode sector has been drawn as winner of the monthly multi-million pound prize. May 2016 saw 77 lucky Coventry players share £3 Million with the winning postcode sector CV1 5. A year later, two lucky Coventry neighbours were each surprised with a £30,000 cheque when postcode CV3 5LB won a Saturday Street Prize.
Everyone playing with a ticket in this month's winning postcode sector, CV3 5, will claim a share of the cash. Those playing with the full winning postcode will pocket the largest share of the prize pot.
People's Postcode Lottery Presenters Matt Johnson and Judie McCourt will be visiting Coventry later this month to hand out cheques and congratulate the winners in person. Judie said, "It's fantastic that I'll be in Coventry and handing out some nice big cheques…again! I love meeting players of People's Postcode Lottery and Postcode Millions are always an exciting and memorable occasion for everyone involved. Congratulations to our players in CV3 5 and good luck!"
A minimum of 32% of the ticket price goes to charity and so far players have raised over £282 Million for more than 4,000 charities and good causes.
A number of local projects in and around Coventry have benefited from the support of People's Postcode Lottery players. These include Historic Coventry Trust. The community and volunteer trust, dedicated to restoring and safeguarding Coventry's heritage, received over £19,000 in lottery funding last year towards their Charterhouse Community Orchard project.
