Good Luck In Gateshead

Gateshead players are getting ready to celebrate a £3 Million win in the August Postcode Millions

Players in Gateshead will be delighted to discover that they are set to share a £3 Million prize pot, as postcode sector NE8 4 has been drawn as the August Postcode Millions winning sector.

Winners will receive an invitation in the post inviting them to a special event at Saltwell Park, Gateshead, on Saturday 3rd September where they will find out exactly how much they've won. This is the second time in less than two years that a postcode from Tyne and Wear has won the Postcode Millions. 170 residents from Whitley Bay shared a £2 Million prize pot in January 2015.

With a minimum of 30% going to good causes across Great Britain and internationally, players have raised over £135 Million for charities to date.

One good cause that continues to benefit from the support of players is Newcastle-based charity Children North East, which has received £971,383 to date. One in four children and young people in the North East live below the poverty line. Children North East works to improve their quality of life, and the invaluable funding from players helps support their mission. Throughout 2014 and 2015, the money received from players helped the charity make a difference to 11,544 children and young people.

People's Postcode Lottery Ambassador and former TFM Radio presenter Judie McCourt said, "I am so excited to be heading home to the North East. I love travelling up and down the country giving cheques to all our lovely players and can't wait to see the reaction of the players from Gateshead."
