Helping Schools Branch Out

Schools across Great Britain are invited to apply for the new Local School Nature Grants Scheme

Learning through Landscapes has launched their new Local School Nature Grants Scheme, funded by players of People’s Postcode Lottery through a £350,000 award from Postcode Local Trust.

The scheme aims to give practical and tailored support to help develop young people’s interest in nature.

The grants provide an assortment of nature equipment up to the value of £500 - from bird boxes and bee hotels to den-making kits - along with a two-hour training session. The packages are customisable, enabling schools to choose from a menu of items which best suit their learners and their setting.

All schools in England, Scotland, and Wales are welcome to apply.

The programme launches on 13th February 2017, and has six funding rounds within the next year.

For further information, or to apply, visit the Learning through Landscapes website.
