Street Prize
Big Day For Bournemouth
One lucky Bournemouth player is celebrating this week after scooping £25,000, thanks to People's Postcode Lottery.
BH10 4EE was one of this week's two Saturday Street Prize winning postcodes.
Ann Lise Rothwell couldn't believe her luck when she found out how much she'd won. "This is my first big win," she said.
Ann Lise is extra lucky, as she actually won playing with her old postcode. "The win has come at the perfect time as we've just moved house and it cost an arm and a leg," she said. "I never got round to updating my postcode – thank goodness!"
Lucky Ann Lise knows exactly how she wants to spend the cash. "I've wanted a motorbike for ages and now can just go and buy one!"
Street Prize Presenter Judie McCourt said, "What an incredible prize for our lucky winner in Bournemouth! Ann Lise will be so pleased that she kept playing with her old postcode!"
Players of People's Postcode Lottery have raised more than £154 Million to date for good causes across Great Britain and internationally.
A project near Bournemouth that has received support from players is Fernheath Play, which was awarded more than £13,000 this year to provide play opportunities for children with disabilities.
There was also celebration in Marston this weekend, as the second Saturday Street Prize landed in OX3 0AY.
