Peterborough Picks Up Prize
A Peterborough resident is set to have a great festive season after winning £50,000 thanks to his lucky postcode, PE7 0LP.
This prize is part of our #50KADAY Christmas celebration in which one postcode is revealed as a winner every day in December's draws and every ticket in that postcode picks up a whopping £50,000!
Our winner Paul was joined by his wife Charlene when he found out how much he'd won over a video call with Street Prize Presenter Jeff Brazier.
Made My Day
Paul said, "Oh wow! Nice!" and was over the moon when his cheque was revealed. Charlene added, "That's made my day! I thought we'd get a couple of grand. We're going to have a great Christmas."
They both plan to use the win to treat their four daughters to a holiday in Florida. Paul commented, "We've promised the girls for a long, long time we will have a nice holiday. They've never been abroad, so they'll be well excited." Charlene added, "The kids will scream and say they're going to Disneyland! They're big Disney fans. It will be the holiday of a lifetime!"
Paul also plans to finally learn how to drive, saying, "I'll treat myself to crash course in driving and finally get myself a car. Our 18-year-old wants to start learning so we can do it together now." Charlene added, "I'm the only one in the house who drives just now!"
Sadly, Charlene's mum passed away recently, but the couple think the win was thanks to her. Charlene said, "We sadly lost my mum recently, but I like to think this was her. She was the one who wanted to do it. She's looking down on us. It's been a bad year and this just made our year!"
Jeff Brazier said, "A big congratulations again to Paul and Charlene. Hopefully they can book their holiday to Disney sooner rather than later, but in the meantime I think their kids will have a Christmas to remember!"
