Lucky Break For Bristol

23 September 2017 - BS7 8UD - Bristol - £30,000

Bristol player Desiree Li has enjoyed an exciting visit from People's Postcode Lottery Street Prize Presenter Danyl Johnson. Danyl arrived at Desiree's door with a thrilling cheque for £30,000.

Lucky postcode BS7 8UD was drawn as the winner in our Saturday Street Prize this week, landing Desiree the amazing prize.

This whopping win comes at the perfect time for Desiree. She said, "I'm getting married in 10 weeks. This means I'll be able to stop cutting corners and splurge on food and drink for my family and friends. It really feels unbelievable! I originally signed up when some people I knew won. I decided that I'd rather put my money towards a range of good causes rather than one specific charity, and the chance to win was a bonus I didn't expect to actually happen."

People's Postcode Lottery Presenter Danyl Johnson said, "It was fantastic to meet Desiree and present her with her £30,000 win. What an amazing time for her too – I hope she has an incredible wedding!"

A minimum of 31% of the ticket price goes to charity. People's Postcode Lottery players have so far raised more than £229 Million for good causes across Great Britain and internationally.

One local charity which has received support from players is Street Goat, an urban community farming organisation. The project was awarded £1,975 to build chicken coups and a composting area and install hand-washing facilities on site.

Also this weekend, we had a whopping win in Ipswich and Jeff Brazier got to meet £30,000 winner Margaret and her two sisters.
