Flying high

Two people cheerfully raise their arms; one holds a lottery cheque showing £83,333, while a suitcase is on the path in a grassy suburban area.

Joanne had the car loaded with luggage ready for an airport dash with her family for a break in Crete - straight after picking up her bumper cheque. The data analyst manager from Middleton squealed with delight when her windfall was revealed.

She said: “We're just about to go to Crete for a week’s holiday. To get this before we go feels like a dream. It still feels like it's not true."

Joanne shared £1 Million with 11 other neighbours in Middleton after M24 1FG landed our Millionaire Street prize today. Every ticket was worth £83,333. It’s the fifth postcode winning £1 Million this week, with a new Millionaire Street prize winner announced daily from October 24 to 31.

House about that

A smiling man and woman holding a "Postcode Lottery" cheque with a prize amount of £83,333.

Neighbour and mum-of-two Janine revealed she and husband Nick are about to move. The couple run a decorating and property maintenance business and are selling their semi.

Janine said: “We've had an offer accepted on a house nearby. It's a doer-upper, it needs everything done. We want to put our own stamp on it... This has come at a perfect time.”

Janine said she was amazed and shocked with her £83,333 win - especially as its just three years after she was one of the neighbours who landed a Postcode Millions prize windfall.

She said: “A cheque came through the door one morning a few years back for around £1,400 and we didn't believe it at first. Then we found out that others who played the Postcode Lottery had won that as well.

“This is amazing. I'm in shock. And, who knows, third time's a charm!”

Tears of joy

A woman receives a lottery cheque for £83,333, covering her mouth in surprise, while a man in a red jacket hands it over.

A few doors along, Leonni Moran burst into tears when her £83,333 cheque was revealed.

Through sobs, the teaching assistant said: “This means a lot. I don't even know what to say. I can do a lot more for my kids, and it's my son's birthday next week."

Way to go, bro

Two men outdoors smiling, each holding large cheques worth £83,333 from the Postcode Lottery, with houses and greenery in the background.

Brothers Steve and John Hamilton live just doors away from each other and both picked up a cheque.

Retired BT worker John said “I haven't decided what I'll do yet. Maybe a car, a holiday, home improvements and sort the nieces and nephews out.”

Dad-of-two Steve said: "I'll sort my two girls out as I never thought it would be this much.”. He added: “It's great to win with my brother. It’s the best thing with us both winning together.”

Christmas wish

A smiling woman holds up a Postcode Lottery cheque for £83,333 on a residential street.

Andrea McGee booked a trip to Lapland for her 11-year-old daughter after getting a call to say she'd won - but before finding out how much.

The widowed accountant said: “As soon as I found out I'd won I booked Lapland for my daughter. We've been before when she was really tiny and we've always wanted to go back.”

But there might also be a personal treat for Andrea - a Cartier Tank watch. Andrea said: “I've been researching watches and wanted one for my 50th, but I didn’t buy one. I’ve looked at them and looked at them for so many years.”

Deserving causes

Today's prize is part of a draw promoted on behalf of Postcode Culture Trust which supports organisations including the Mac Birmingham, National Galleries of Scotland and Amgueddfa Cymru - Museum Wales.

Players aren't the only ones who benefit from Postcode Lottery. A minimum of 30% of each ticket price goes to charities and good causes. Thanks to our fantastic players, more than £1.8 Billion has been raised for thousands of deserving projects.
