Gold For Slinfold

06 January 2018 - RH13 0TZ - Slinfold - £30,000

What a lucky start to the year for three Slinfold players in postcode RH13 0TZ. The happy winners have scooped £30,000 for each ticket they play thanks to their postcode being drawn as the winner of Saturday's Street Prize.

Winner Toni, who works at a local nursing home, said, "Winning £30,000 will make a big difference to me and my little boy. I'm going to book a nice holiday to Center Parcs for the two of us.

"My grandfather, who was 96 years old, passed away just a few days before I found out I'd won the money. I know he would've been very happy for me."

Accounts clerk Jean was also delighted with her win. She said, "I'm at the age when I need to think ahead to my retirement in a few years, so I'll be putting most of the money away.

"I've got a sister in Canada and I'd like to visit her. My elderly mother, who lives with me, would like to go too and I'll take her with me."

The other winner was unavailable to receive their cheque in person from Street Prize Presenter Matt Johnson, but their winnings will be transferred directly into their bank account.

Congratulating the winners, he said, "What a way to start 2018 with £30,000 in your bank account. It costs £10 a month to play and just like the Slinfold winners you could be getting a big cheque this year. With £130 Million in prizes to be won in 2018, make sure you're playing!"

Players aren't the only ones who benefit from People's Postcode Lottery, as a minimum of 31% of the ticket price goes to charities

To date, more than £263 Million has been raised by players for good causes across Great Britain and internationally.

A cause local to the Slinfold winners which has received support from players is The Gatton Trust. The group was awarded £11,050 last year to educate children on food production and the environment.

Four lucky winners also won £30,000 cheques after their postcode was drawn as Sunday's Street Prize winner.
