One Leigh-on-Sea player can't believe their luck this week after winning £50,000 and a brand new BMW with People's Postcode Lottery.
Lisa White plays with postcode SS9 4SR, which was drawn as a winner today.
Lisa was astonished when People's Postcode Lottery Ambassador Jeff Brazier appeared on her doorstep to hand over a pair of prizes. "It's not sunk in yet, and I think it will be quite a while before it does. It still seems so unreal. I've not had a chance to think about what to do with the money – there's some things we'd love to do to the house, and we'll probably treat ourselves to a holiday too."
Lisa was joined by her husband Alan when she got the visit, who was even more excited about the BMW.
Jeff said, "It was lovely to meet Lisa and Alan today and present them with their cheque and car. I hope they enjoy it – once the shock has worn off!"
A minimum of 30% of ticket price goes directly to charities. Players of People's Postcode Lottery have raised more than £197 Million to date for more than 2,800 good causes across Great Britain and internationally.
A project that has received player support near today's winning postcode is Maru Karate Kai, which was awarded £773 last year for a project to improve children's confidence and self-esteem.
