Four players from Colwick were delighted to hear that they had each won £25,000, and one lucky winner who plays with two tickets scooped a fantastic £50,000.
The lucky winners from Sands Close won a Saturday Street Prize after their postcode NG4 2GZ was drawn as a winner.
Maureen Godator said that it was the biggest surprise of her life. "I thought I'd maybe won one or two thousand pounds but when I realised it was £25,000, it was the biggest surprise I've ever had. The win couldn't have come at a better time; I'm just about to have a stairlift installed in my home so it's brilliant news.
"This is my very first month playing so I've actually only spent £10 so far to play – and look at me now! I'm not normally a very lucky person, so if it can happen to me it really could happen to anyone."
Maureen won along with four other lucky neighbours, one of whom plays with two tickets and so won £50,000.
Street Prize Presenter Judie McCourt said, "It was fantastic to meet Maureen and some of her other lovely neighbours. I'm absolutely thrilled for them. Congratulations to them and, as always, thank you so much for playing and supporting so many amazing charities."
£142 Million has been raised to date by players for over 2,000 good causes across Great Britain and internationally. A project that players have supported near Colwick is Friends of Gedling Country Park, which was awarded £1,500 last year to support enhancements to the park.
A postcode in Tranent also got lucky this weekend as EH33 1JU was drawn as the winner of our second Saturday Street Prize.
