What we do
Everyone has a postcode, so everyone can help create a greener, healthier and more socially just world. This was the idea in 1989 when Nationale Postcode Loterij was founded in the Netherlands. Since then, those who have joined the Postcode Lotteries have raised an incredible €14.5 Billion for charity.
Our mission
The Postcode Lottery Group operates and organises lotteries in five countries to raise money for good causes at home and abroad, working towards a fairer, greener and healthier world. As a result, we all win: together we help make the world a better place, charities receive money and everyone who joins us has a chance of winning prizes every month.
How do we distribute the money?
We support some amazing causes by raising long-term funding for our local and international charity partners. We help to support them in a number of ways. For example:
- Our supported charities receive an annual contribution.
- Charities may also receive an extra contribution for specific projects.
- They may receive a one-off contribution.
- For special, courageous or pioneering projects, we have the Dream Fund.
