Its award-winning Academy programme works with 16-to-24 year olds who face socioeconomic barriers and supports them into sustained employment, education and training.
At the Academy, young people develop employability skills like teamwork, communication and self-awareness, and get to play football every day. They undergo CV writing and mock interview sessions with real employers, and acquire nationally-recognised qualifications in numeracy, literacy and employability.
Street League then provides work placement opportunities with employers for Academy graduates, as well as aftercare staff, who support them through the early stages of employment.
Mike Parker, Chair of Trustees at Street League, said, "We are very grateful to players of People's Postcode Lottery for supporting Street League in our mission to end youth unemployment in the UK.
"Your generous and long-term support has made a transformative difference to the lives of unemployed young people across England and Scotland. Together, we are changing young people's lives through sustainable jobs, education and training opportunities."
