Two Oldham players have scooped cash prizes and one lucky winner has won the keys to a brand new BMW thanks to their lucky postcode.

The King Street winners play with the postcode OL3 5DL, which was drawn as the winner of People's Postcode Lottery's monthly car and cash prize.

One winner scooped £25,000 while the other, who plays with two tickets, won £50,000 and the BMW.

Denise Howell was over the moon to receive her cheque for £50,000 as well as the keys to her new car. "I'm still in shock," she said.

Denise was joined by her daughter Jen when she was presented with her prizes. "I'm so glad Jen is here," she said. "She's getting married next year so some of the money will go towards her dress. I would also love to go to Australia again with my husband Peter and go scuba diving!"

People's Postcode Lottery Ambassador Danyl Johnson presented Denise with her cheque. He said, "I loved meeting Denise today, she was so excited to get her cheque and almost passed out with shock when she saw she'd won the car too."

There was one other winner who was not available to receive their cheque, but their winnings will be paid directly into their bank account.

A minimum of 31% of the ticket price goes to charities. To date, players of People's Postcode Lottery have raised more than £221 Million for good causes across Great Britain and internationally.

A project that has received player support near the winning postcode is Oldham Mountain Rescue Team, which was awarded £2,285 this year to improve operational computing capabilities.
