A stunned mum tried to predict her People's Postcode Lottery winnings using artificial intelligence - then bagged more than five times computer estimates.

Nikki Long turned detective with popular AI website ChatGPT to work out how much she'd won - but realised it was way out when she landed a whopping £166,666.

Nikki said: "I am a massive detective. I just need to know everything. This was the biggest puzzle of my life, and I failed miserably.

"And I tell you what, I’ll own it, and I'm beyond happy that I failed because in my head it was like £1,000 or £30,000. But to get £135,000 on top of that has just blown me away.

"I tried to work it out using ChatGPT, but Postcode Lottery kept a very good secret."

Recruiter Nikki had the day off work for Postcode Lottery surprise

Nikki was among six people to share £1 Million in Slough after SL1 6EZ was announced as the winner of today's Millionaire Street prize. Each ticket was worth £166,666.

She added: "I'm still in shock, I just can't believe it. I thought if it's £1,000, I can go on a nice weekend away, but this sort of money is just life changing.

Now Nikki is giddy with excitement at the thought of splashing the cash on her family - starting with an exotic holiday to the Maldives.

She said: “I think I'll do the fun things first and then be sensible. One hundred per cent I'm having a holiday. I'm having multiple holidays actually.

"I'd like to go to Rome, but I think somewhere exotic like the Maldives would be amazing."

In the next flat block along, Ucal McLeod also celebrated a £166,666 bumper windfall and says his three-year plan has now been fast tracked.

Ucal said: "It's a game-changer. I've got a three-year plan, so this will give us an opportunity to relax and bring things forward."

Ucal said: "I'm not retiring just yet. I enjoy what I do, and I enjoy working with my team and clients. But I'm winding down as I'm 60 next year."

He celebrated alongside his partner Pauline Whitman and the couple said the whopping windfall will help towards their wedding.

Ucal said: "We've been together for 22 years, and yes, at some point we will definitely be getting married. Not just yet though."

And Ucal teased Pauline: "I think all this money might go some way to convincing me."

Ucal and Pauline plan to marry in the near future

But before any wedding bells ring out, the couple will have a holiday in the Caribbean.

Ucal said: "My parents are from Jamaica but I'm British-born, and we've been going to Jamaica now for over 10 years. We absolutely love it, so we're definitely going back there.

"I'm looking forward to surprising the family. There'll be some big, big smiles and we'll celebrate in the way that we do. And that's bringing the family out on the beach to eat, drink and dance, it'll be fantastic."

He also passed on his congratulations to Nikki after learning that they'd shared a slice of the £1 Million prize.

The pleased pair hugged, and he said: "It's fantastic, especially in a small close like this that six of us have won. And I'm absolutely so pleased for her."

And the neighbours were beaming with happiness when they learnt that their Postcode Lottery win means local charities have also benefitted.

The Dash Charity, a local organisation helping to break the cycle of domestic abuse, has been awarded £50,000.

Scarlett Mcloughlin, CEO, said: "We are over the moon to receive this generous support - it has come at such a vital time for us as we've seen an increase in demand for our children's support service."

Scarlett added: "A huge heartfelt thanks to players of People's Postcode Lottery - this really will make a difference to hundreds of local families who are looking to rebuild their lives after domestic abuse."

All funding was awarded by Postcode Community Trust.
