Happy Day For Wembley And Bray

22 August 2015 - HA9 9PG - Wembley - £25,000 - SL6 2AE - Bray - £5,000 Dream Holiday
William in Wembley was the proud winner of £25,000 this weekend

This weekend saw big winners in two postcodes, with one lucky player in Wembley picking up £25,000 in the Saturday Street Prize, and a player in Bray winning a pair of £5,000 Dream Holidays.

There were screams of delight from Wembley this weekend – but they weren't from the football! These cheers came from William Namwisi-Zana, who had just scooped a cheque for £25,000. His postcode, HA9 9PG, was drawn as this week's Saturday Street Prize winner.

William, 47, was over the moon to be presented with his cheque, by People's Postcode Lottery ambassador and rugby legend Scott Quinnell. "I can't believe I've won – I feel so happy!" said William.

William is planning on celebrating his win with a family gathering, "We'll definitely have to have a party. I'd like to have everyone celebrate this fantastic moment," he said.

William isn't too sure what he's going to spend his money on, but he would really love to take his two children, aged five and two, on a holiday to Spain and Italy.

William explained that he signed up to play People's Postcode Lottery for two very simple reasons. "I like this lottery because not only can you win, but you can help charities also," said William. "It means so much that I'm able to help support charities at the same time."

Players of People's Postcode Lottery have now awarded over £79.2 Million to charities and good causes across Great Britain and internationally. Charities such as the Dame Kelly Holmes Trust receive vital funding to ensure that disadvantaged young people will receive the support and help needed to enable them to reach their full potential.

Despite already being a winner, William certainly doesn't have any plans to stop playing any time soon, and is hoping his win encourages more people to sign up and support the charities. "I've been encouraging all my friends to sign up to play even before I won. They'll all be dying to sign up to play now!" said William.

Scott Quinnell said, "It was absolutely great meeting William today and presenting him with his cheque. William's reaction was brilliant! I hope he has a fantastic time celebrating with his family and gets his holiday booked soon!"

Just along the road from William, there's more travel on the cards. One lucky player in SL6 2AE in Bray picked up two £5,000 Dream Holidays, thanks to playing with a pair of tickets. There will be some serious bag-packing, passport-grabbing globetrotting coming their way - bon voyage!
