Our Paw-some Players

Thanks to our millions of players, Postcode Lottery is the largest source of funding for animal welfare charities in the UK.

From homeless hounds to stranded seal pups, cuddly kittens to rescued rabbits - and everything in between - our players have so far raised more than £90 Million to help animals in need.

It means vital support is there for creatures great and small.

This funding is helping to rehome pets, care for sick animals, protect endangered species and wildlife and so much more, ensuring that charities can be there when they are needed most.

One of those charities supported by our players is Dogs Trust - the largest dog charity in the UK. To date, it has received more than £30 Million in funding.

Richard Moore, from Dogs Trust, said: "We care for over 11,000 dogs a year and we offer support in many different ways. Whether that is helping dogs find new homes or offering support to owners so they can keep their pets, this vital work is made possible thanks to the incredible support of Postcode Lottery players."

Liezl Cabigas, from Cats Protection, says the £12 Million in funding received so far from players makes a difference every day.

Liezel said: "We strive to help every cat lead their best possible life, from reuniting them with their owners or finding them loving homes, to providing support with microchipping and neutering. We also offer advice to cat owners and campaign to make a better world for cats and the people who love them.

"We wouldn’t be able to do what we do without support from the players. It is as simple as that."

PDSA is the UK’s largest veterinary charity and has to date received £23 Million in funding from our players, helping PDSA support people and pets through tough times.

Hannah Lawrence, from PDSA, explained: "The work we do is massively important. We believe that every pet deserves a happy and healthy life.

"By providing free and low-cost vet care through our Pet Hospitals across the UK we prevent suffering, help to relieve poverty and keep people together with their much-loved pets.

"Thanks to Postcode Lottery players, we can continue to help thousands of pets in need."
