Frome Millionaire Street
Overwhelmed Nicola Young told how winning £333,333 on the Postcode Lottery would wipe out a decade or more of expensive home renovations in a single stroke.

Nicola was one of three neighbours in Frome, Somerset who shared £1 Million when BA11 2LN landed our weekly Millionaire Street prize. Each ticket was worth £333,333.

"I never expected to be holding a cheque for this sum of money in my hands. It feels incredible."
Nicola and partner Damien Hardaker started renovating three years ago, only for a series of unexpected problems to set their dream back years.
Following endless weekends of DIY, the couple believed they wouldn't be finished until at least the mid-2030s.
Now, after winning a third of a £1 Million prize, they can complete the entire project and more.
Little luxuries

Some of the winnings could go on a family holiday while the money will also allow Damien to replace his old mountain bike, just days after the crank broke.
Nicola added: "Damien has been saying he'd like a second-hand mountain bike - I think he can have a new one now."

"This win has opened up what was impossible and made it possible"
Just down the road, skilled artist Cameron Scott and wife Daniela also pocketed £333,333 after he started playing the Postcode Lottery two years ago.
The couple will spend some of their winnings on an extended visit to the Piedmont region, not far from the French/Italian border, with its stunning views of the Alps. They could also finally tick off Daniela's lifetime ambition to visit Japan.
Nicola and Cameron were both partly inspired to play the Postcode Lottery to help charities. And they were delighted to discover that charities in and around their hometown will benefit from their win - with at least £200,000 in support.
The local charities receiving funding include:
- We Hear You (WHY) - £75,000 The charity, based in Frome, provides free and low-cost counselling for hundreds of adults, children and young people affected by cancer or any life-threatening illness in Somerset, Bath and Wiltshire each year.
- OpenStoryTellers - £75,000 A local organisation that provides a creative community where people with a learning disability are supported to find their voice, express their identity, and share their stories through creativity, performance, self-advocacy and meaningful work.
