Rotherham Millionaire Street

An overjoyed NHS worker told how she persuaded her husband to sign up for Postcode Lottery after a previous big win - and the pair scooped almost £154,000 between them on Valentine’s Day.

'Have you done it yet?'

"I was on about doing the Postcode Lottery before, then Lisa won and I was disappointed that I hadn’t gone ahead - and missed out. Then I thought I would have a go. I would have been gutted otherwise."

Lisa Waller won £24,266 in December 2024 - with Nigel missing out because he failed to sign up in time. She nagged him to do it shortly afterwards and now they have pocketed £76,923 each.

Lisa and Nigel shared £1 Million with nine other neighbours in Rotherham after S65 3BT landed today's weekly Millionaire Street prize. Every ticket was worth £76,923. But two players doubled their prizes to £153,846 with two tickets.

Surprise from Lauren

Previous winner Lauren popped round to the latest winners' home to surprise them at their presentations.

"It’s just so nice. Local people going out working and getting on with life - and then something massive happens to them. It's incredible. I'm just so happy it's come back to Rotherham."

'I can't believe it. I'm in shock'

Woman gasps with joy at a £76,923 Postcode Lottery cheque as a man in a red coat stands beside her outside a brick house.

"My husband told me to cancel it and I actually phoned up to change it. But the guy on the phone said I didn’t have to live there to keep playing with the postcode, so I just kept it."

Denise Shaw returned to the street she left over two years ago to pick up her cheque - after continuing to play with her old postcode.

Street delight

The neighbours have big plans on what they'd like to do with their winnings.

Lisa said: “I’m desperate for another car and keep looking. Mine is a 13 plate and I’ve had it from brand new. It’s been a beautiful car and I’ll quite possibly look at getting the same one again."

Denise is planning a return trip to the Dominican Republic, which she splashed out on after her last win - as well as treating her family, a step-daughter and two step-grandchildren.

The neighbours joined Postcode Lottery to support local, national and international charities.

One organisation, Yorkshire and Humberside Asbestos Support Group (SARAG), has been given £50,000. It comes after previously receiving a £25,000 funding boost through the Postcode Neighbourhood Trust last October.

Neyvn Stevenson, Head of Service and Charity Development, said: "We would like to extend our sincere thanks to players of People's Postcode Lottery for their generous support.

"Their funding makes a meaningful difference to the lives of people and families affected by asbestos-related conditions, and we are incredibly grateful for their continued commitment to charities like ours."

Deserving Causes

Today's prize is part of a draw promoted on behalf of Postcode Planet Trust which has a mission to support the environment and the enjoyment of nature.

Players aren't the only ones who benefit from People's Postcode Lottery. A minimum of 30% of each ticket price goes to charities and good causes. Thanks to our fantastic players, more than £1.5 Billion has been raised for thousands of deserving projects.
