Quedgeley Millionaire Street
Our winner Tanya Cook is eyeing a Christmas trip to Disneyland Paris to make a dream come true for her beloved son - after winning £83,333 with People’s Postcode Lottery.
Tanya struggled to hold back tears as she told how disabled Jack gets excited every time he sees the magical theme park on TV.
Now the mum-of-two says she'll put renovation work at her centuries-old cottage on hold until she fulfils her lad's wish.
Tanya said: “We've got a lot of work on the house that needs doing. But the first thing I'll do is take my son to Disneyland Paris. Possibly for Christmas.
Mum-of-two Tanya with her bumper cheque“He can't fly because of his condition, but he’s always wanted to go - and now we can."
Tanya shared £1 Million with nine other neighbours in Quedgeley after GL2 4QP landed today's Millionaire Street prize. Every ticket was worth £83,333, but two players doubled their winnings with two tickets each.
Jack suffers from Tuberous Sclerosis Complex, a rare genetic disorder causing benign tumours to grow in multiple organs including the brain, eyes, heart, kidneys, and skin. He is also autistic and epileptic.
The family also discovered Jack has Lymphangioleiomyomatosis, a rare and progressive lung disease that almost exclusively affects women. It can lead to cysts developing and breathing difficulties.
Now Tanya says her win will give their lives a much-needed boost.
She said: "Jack has constant treatment to stop the tumours from growing. But he has the most amazing life, and I make sure of that.
“He is a very beautiful soul. Everyone that meets him loves him. Everybody loves Jack.”
Further up the road, a grateful mum has vowed to repay her kind daughter who handed over a People’s Postcode Lottery prize years ago - after she landed a whopping win herself.
Now Deborah of Quedgeley, Gloucestershire, says she'll give her girl the cash back after raking in £83,333.
Deborah’s shock as Danyl Johnson reveals her cheque for £83,333Mum-of-five Deborah said: "My daughter gave me her winnings from the Postcode Lottery a few years ago to refelt the garage roof because water was coming through. I’m now going to pay her back.
"It's so good to be in a position to return the favour for my daughter's kindness."
Now Deborah has plans to extend her red brick semi into the sprawling back garden, spend quality time with her little sister - and celebrate Christmas in style.
A few doors along, Pat Humphries told how husband Barrie called her on a Spanish holiday as she marked her birthday to break the news that they’d won Postcode Lottery.
The mum-of-two said: "Barrie rang me last week when I was in Benidorm to tell me that we’d won. I was in the pub having cocktails… Sex On The Beach.
"I had another one after the call to celebrate… an extra strong one!"
Now the former hospital receptionist wants to tick off a trip on her holiday bucket list - and grow their collection of vintage cars.
Pat found out her husband had won while she was in BenidormPat - who has two daughters, three grandchildren and another on the way, laughed: "It's my husband's ticket, but I might spend it all. I couldn't sleep at night after finding out we'd won.
Ex-project manager Barrie likes vintage cars and already has a 1977 Triumph Spitfire, 2004 Mercedes-Benz SL and an old Mini Cooper S he’s doing up.
Barrie said: "Pat wants a Triumph Stag. We were going to get one anyway, but we can probably get a better one now."
A few doors along, Jude Anderson thanked her beloved pet cat Tallulah for the win - a day after the 15-year-old family pet passed away.
The mum-of-two said: "This is a gift from my Tallulah. This is her looking after us. We’ve been in tears non-stop since yesterday morning. Our emotions have been all over the place... up and down. The plan today was to bury her in the garden."
Shocked Jude was left tearful when her £83,333 cheque was revealed - then told how the cash will be a boost for the family.
An ecstatic Jude celebrates her bumper winIt comes just days after the family threw a bash to celebrate eldest son Ben’s engagement.
Jude, who helps run a specialist Porsche 928 firm with her husband Joe, and sons Ben and Joe, said: "My oldest son just got engaged so there will be a little bit for them. And I'm sure Joe will be wanting to upgrade his car."
She added: "We deserve a family holiday, and the boys have never been to America. Getting together for that would be amazing."
Grandmother Pauline Parsons found out she’d won £166,666 playing with two tickets when she was on holiday with hubby Alan on the Isle of Wight.
Sons James, an educational advocate, and Mercedes technician Robert, revealed her two cheques in a video call.
Mum-of-three Pauline said she also wanted to support good causes by signing up.
She said: "I play it to give to charities. Postcode Lottery gives to a good range of charities. This is surreal, absolutely fantastic. You see it and don’t think it will happen to you."
Winner Pauline’s sons, Robert and James, called her to break the good newsPauline said: "I’d just arrived on the Isle of Wight for a four-day break when I got the phone call to say I’d won."
At the other end of the road, retired civil engineer Peter Franklin said he plans to transform his garden - and indulge his interest in World War Two.
Peter said: "My wife and I have always had an interest in World War Two. There are some sites in Austria... we might do that, and other areas."
Peter is already planning what he will do with his winnings"We've got a lot of work to do round the house outside... a lot of landscaping. It means I'll probably get someone to do it for me, rather than do it myself."
All the players were pleased to hear the Millionaire Street win means funding boosts for charities in their local area.
And one organisation, The Venture Community Hub, has been awarded £30,000 thanks to Postcode Lottery players.
It’s a vibrant space at the heart of the community, providing opportunities for children, young people and families to connect, belong and flourish.
They run a wide range of activities - from youth clubs and play sessions to family support and community events - helping to create a safe, welcoming environment for everyone.
