Conserving Our Woodlands
Players of People's Postcode Lottery have raised over £11 Million, to date, for the Woodland Trust.
The support has helped schools and communities plant millions of trees across Britain through Free Tree Packs.
The Woodland Trust have also used funding to encourage school children to engage with nature through the Green Tree Schools Award, and helped communities stand up for urban trees via their Street Trees project.
Stunning Projects
Not only that, our players have funded the Ospreycam at Loch Arkaig, which has provided stunning access and insight into the lives of osprey pair Aila and Louis. Watch the video on this page to see highlights of their recent season at the Loch!
Essential work has also taken place in woods across the country to make them more welcoming for visitors. Our players are helping to celebrate and protect trees through the annual Tree of the Year competition.
And, in 2019, players of People's Postcode Lottery helped the charity buy its first mountain! The stunning landscape at Ben Shieldaig in Wester Ross is a unique combination of Atlantic rainforest and Caledonian pine forest. It is now in the care of the Woodland Trust with support allowing the project team to extend, manage and protect this incredible habitat.
Supporting Amazing Charities
Woodland Trust is just one of the incredible Charities that our players support. 32% of the ticket price goes to these amazing good causes. If you'd like to know more, find out How People's Postcode Lottery Works and sign up for a ticket today.
