People’s Postcode Lottery announces amount awarded to charity to increase to 30%

People's Postcode Lottery players are set to make an even bigger difference to good causes from July when 30% from every ticket will go to charity - a rise of 2.5%.

Since the launch of the subscription-based lottery in 2005, players have raised an incredible £118 Million for good causes. Supported charities include Maggie's, Missing People, National Trust and PDSA.

Today's announcement marks the fourth consecutive increase since 2013.

Head of Charities Clara Govier said: "Our players tell us regularly that they sign up because People's Postcode Lottery is a fun way of supporting good causes.

"We are committed to increasing the amount that can be raised for charity. From July, with 30% being awarded from every ticket to good causes, more charities than ever before will receive funding."
