Greenhouse Sports believes in the power of sport to raise the aspirations of young people and help them reach their full potential.
Greenhouse Sports delivers high-quality sport programmes that give young people the chance to experience structure, goal-setting, teamwork, a sense of achievement, and mutual respect.
Since 2002, over 40,000 young people have participated, working with qualified coaches who are technically skilled in addition to being excellent role models and mentors. Through the relationships developed with participants, Greenhouse Sports coaches are able to effect change in the long-term development of their social, thinking, emotional, and physical skills.
The charity is currently undergoing a new project which involves transforming a church in Marylebone into a flagship state-of-the-art sports centre. This centre will be utilised by both the community and Greenhouse Sports participants.
John Herriman, CEO of Greenhouse Sports, said, "For 15 years, our coaches have used sport in schools and the community to develop well-rounded young people and inspire them to reach their full potential. We are grateful for the support of players of People's Postcode Lottery, which ensures we are able to improve the lives of young people and whole communities, though sport."
