War Child

War Child's vision is a world in which the lives of children are no longer torn apart by war. This fantastic charity works hard to support and improve the protection and care of children and young people who live with a combination of insecurity, poverty and exclusion in some of the world's worst conflict-affected places.

War Child was established to:

- Bring relief to persons anywhere in the world who are suffering hardship, sickness or distress as a result of war and, in particular, to reduce the suffering of children in these situations

- Advance the education of the public on the effects of war and especially the effects these have on children

As an organisation, War Child focuses its energies on preventing some of the most marginalised children in world from having their lives torn apart in the cycle of conflict. This has led them to develop their programmatic work under three themes - child protection, education and livelihoods.

You can help War Child continue to protect children when war breaks out and support communities in the long term. For more information, visit their website www.warchild.org.uk. To help support their work, sign up to play People's Postcode Lottery.
