Cash For Chepstow
A Chepstow resident is celebrating an unexpected windfall today after netting a £30,000 cheque with People's Postcode Lottery. The win comes after her postcode, NP16 6DS, was announced as a winner of our #30KADAY Street Prize.
Lucky Christine found out how much she'd won during a video call with Street Prize Presenter Danyl Johnson. On seeing her super prize, Christine exclaimed, "Oh wow! £30,000? Oh wow. That is brilliant."
Christine was looking forward to treating her family with her windfall. She said, "I've got two daughters who are looking to buy their own properties so I might be able to help them with a deposit. It'll make a big, big difference."
The money might help her make a lifelong dream holiday a reality, too. She explained, "I might do a holiday, when we can safely go. Maybe next year or the year after. I'd actually love to go to China or Japan. I don't know which one yet. Ever since I was quite young, I've always wanted to go to Japan and see the cherry blossoms and also China because I absolutely love pandas!"
When asked how she'd celebrate her good news, Christine wanted to wait until she could see her husband who works away from home. She said, "He'll be back on the weekend, so we can have a really good celebration then. Maybe get a nice bottle of champagne!"
Danyl Johnson sent his best wishes to our winner. He said, "A massive congratulations to Christine, I'm sure she is over the moon right now! It was lovely to hear about her plans and I hope she gets to take that dream holiday soon."
