What are the odds of winning Postcode Lottery?

On average, the chance of a ticket winning a prize is better than 1 in 4†. The chance of winning one of our biggest prizes - Postcode Millions, Millionaire Street and our £250,000 prize - is better than 1 in 250,000†† and the odds of winning a £1,000 prize are better than 1 in 2,000††. The odds of winning the jackpot in Lotto are 1 in 22 million and in the Euromillions are 1 in 139 million†††.

In 2025, 84% of players won a prize. These included our weekly Millionaire Street prize, £250,000 prize**, shares of the Postcode Millions prize and exciting Special Extra prizes, alongside our £1,000 prizes, £15 prizes, Prize Vouchers and e-Gift Cards.

For £12.50 a month, players are automatically entered into all Postcode Lottery draws. The winning postcodes are announced every day of the month. As of July 2026, there are over 1.6 million postcodes in Britain. The number of postcodes changes as Royal Mail adds new postcodes (as new housing developments are built) and deletes old postcode (as buildings are demolished). More than 71% of the postcodes in Britain are playing Postcode Lottery.
