A surprise was in store for four Sheffield players who scooped Sunday's Street Prize. The winners, who play with postcode S8 0EF, won £30,000 for each ticket they play with.
Three of the Dalewood Road winners scooped £30,000 each while the fourth doubled their prize to £60,000 thanks to playing with two tickets.
Amanda a part-time dance teacher and secretary, was the lucky winner of £60,000. After receiving her cheque she said, "I'm still in shock, I think it will take a while for it to sink in!"
With her birthday in a few days' time, Amanda is going to treat herself to a spa day, but next year plans to do something very different: "I turn 50 next year so I'm going to use my win to book a girls trip to Las Vegas. It's a special birthday so it's great that I can treat myself to something extra special. There will be 11 of us going – I can't wait!"
Domestic cleaner Denise and her husband Gary were over the moon with their £30,000 win. She said, "I'm absolutely delighted! I can finally landscape my garden which is something I've wanted to do for a long time now. I can also treat my two sons to something nice – I think they'll be happy with some cash!"
Like Amanda, Denise also plans on using her win to visit Las Vegas next year, "My friend's daughter is getting married in Vegas next year, so now we can turn it into a big holiday. I couldn't believe it when I found out Amanda also plans to visit! It's lovely having us all win together – I've lived here for over 20 years so we all know each other really well. I'm thrilled for everyone."
Sally, a primary school teacher, couldn't believe it when she was presented with the cheque for £30,000. She said, "It feels like a dream at the moment. I've been looking for a new car for a while and now I can finally get one! My partner John and I have been looking to put a deposit down on a house too, so this money will be a great start for us."
Sally also plans to treat her family, "I have two daughters, Katie and Maisy, so they'll definitely be after some new gadgets, maybe even a new computer."
Street Prize Presenter Judie McCourt offered her congratulations, saying, "It was lovely to meet all of our Sheffield winners today and see their reactions. I'm sure they will all enjoy treating themselves and spending their prize money."
Charities also benefit from People's Postcode Lottery, with players raising over £330 Million to date. This Street Prize was part of a draw promoted by charity WaterAid.
A good cause local to our Sheffield winners that players have supported is Element Society. The group was awarded £13,400 last year to run outdoor nature sessions for young people with disabilities.
